Egyptian History
Ancient Egyptian history spans over 3,000 years, beginning around 3100 BCE with the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under a Pharaoh. Known for their advanced civilization, they built iconic pyramids, developed complex hieroglyphic writing, and made significant advances in medicine, mathematics, and engineering. Egypt experienced periods of stability and prosperity, notably the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms, interspersed with foreign invasions and internal turmoil. It eventually declined after periods of foreign rule, including Greek and Roman dominance. The civilization's rich cultural and religious practices, such as beliefs in the afterlife, continue to fascinate today.
