Effector Memory T cells

Effector Memory T cells are a type of immune cell that "remembers" past infections, enabling a quick response if the same pathogen appears again. They develop after an infection or vaccination and circulate mainly in the blood and tissues. When they detect a familiar threat, they rapidly produce defenses like toxins and alert other immune cells to fight. Unlike naive T cells, which are inexperienced, Effector Memory T cells are ready to act immediately, providing faster and more effective protection against infections you've encountered before.
