EEA (European Economic Area)
The European Economic Area (EEA) is an agreement that allows countries in the European Union (EU) and three non-EU countries—Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein—to participate in the EU’s internal market. This means they can freely trade goods, services, and capital, and enjoy certain rights like the freedom of movement for people. The EEA helps these countries align with EU standards and regulations without being full EU members, enabling economic cooperation and access while maintaining some separate national policies. It fosters closer integration and economic stability across the member countries.
