Edwin Hubble's Law

Edwin Hubble's Law states that galaxies are moving away from us, and their speed increases with their distance. In simple terms, the farther a galaxy is, the faster it appears to be receding. This observation suggests that the universe is expanding uniformly in all directions. The law is expressed mathematically as v = H₀ × d, where v is the galaxy's velocity, d is its distance from us, and H₀ is the Hubble constant, representing the rate of expansion. This discovery fundamentally changed our understanding of the universe's origin and evolution, leading to the Big Bang theory.
