
Edward H. Levi
Edward H. Levi was an American lawyer and educator who served as the 11th U.S. Attorney General from 1975 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford. Known for restoring professionalism and integrity to the Department of Justice after the Watergate scandal, he emphasized rule of law and ethical standards. Prior to that, he was a distinguished law school professor and dean at the University of Chicago. Levi’s leadership helped rebuild trust in federal law enforcement and emphasized the importance of adherence to legal principles in government.
