
Ed King (musician, member of Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Ed King was a talented guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with the American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. He joined the band in the early 1970s and contributed to some of their biggest hits, including the iconic guitar intro to "Sweet Home Alabama." King’s distinctive playing style helped define the band’s Southern rock sound. Aside from his performance skills, he also arranged musical compositions and co-wrote songs. His influence extends beyond Lynyrd Skynyrd, and he was respected for his craftsmanship and musicianship within the rock community before his passing in 2018.
