Ecuadorian government
Ecuador's government is a democratic republic with a president as the head of state and government, elected for a four-year term. The government has three branches: the executive, responsible for implementing laws and policies; the legislative, which makes laws through a National Assembly; and the judiciary, ensuring laws are applied fairly. Ecuador operates under a constitution that guarantees rights and freedoms. Regional and local governments also have authority to manage local issues. Overall, it functions as a representative system where elected officials make decisions on behalf of the people.
