ECoG arrays

ECoG (electrocorticography) arrays are small, flat devices with multiple tiny sensors called electrodes. These sensors are placed directly on the surface of the brain during surgery to record electrical activity. They help researchers and doctors monitor brain signals with high accuracy, often to study neural functions or assist in treatments like epilepsy surgery. Unlike external methods, ECoG arrays sit directly on the brain’s surface, providing clearer and more precise data about brain activity, which can improve understanding and intervention for neurological conditions.
