Ecocide
Ecocide refers to the extensive and deliberate destruction of the natural environment, particularly actions that cause significant harm to ecosystems and biodiversity. This can include practices such as deforestation, pollution, and habitat destruction, which threaten the health of our planet. While not yet recognized as a formal crime under international law, advocates argue that ecocide should be treated similarly to genocide or war crimes, holding individuals and corporations accountable for damaging the Earth to the detriment of future generations. The goal is to emphasize the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices for a healthy ecosystem.
