Eccentricity (psychology)
Eccentricity in psychology refers to behaviors, habits, or personality traits that are unusual or distinctive compared to typical social norms. Eccentric individuals often have unique ways of thinking, dressing, or acting that set them apart, but these behaviors are not necessarily problematic or indicative of mental illness. Instead, eccentricity highlights personal originality or unconventional preferences. While their behaviors might seem odd to others, they usually do not interfere with daily functioning and are seen as expressions of individuality or creative thinking.
