Eboracum

Eboracum was the Roman name for the city now known as York in England. Founded around AD 71, it became an important military and administrative center in Roman Britain, strategically located at the junction of several major roads. Eboracum was known for its impressive structures, including walls, a fort, and a beautiful amphitheater. It served as a key trading hub and later became the seat of the Roman emperor Septimius Severus during his campaigns. Today, York retains a rich historical heritage, with remnants of its Roman past visible in its architecture and city layout.
