Ebbinghaus illusion

The Ebbinghaus illusion is a visual trick that shows how our perception of an object’s size can be affected by its surroundings. In this illusion, a central circle appears larger or smaller depending on the size of the circles around it. When surrounded by larger circles, the central circle looks smaller; with smaller surrounding circles, it appears larger. However, the central circle is actually the same size in both cases. This demonstrates that our brain considers context when judging size, highlighting how perception is not just about individual objects but also their relationship to nearby elements.
