Eazy-E, born Eric Wright, was a pioneering rapper and songwriter from Compton, California, known as one of the founders of West Coast hip-hop and a key member of the group N.W.A. His music often addressed social issues and urban life, marked by raw lyrics and distinctive style. Eazy-E played a vital role in popularizing gangsta rap, influencing future artists and the genre’s direction. He was also a successful businessman with his record label, Ruthless Records. Sadly, he died in 1995 at age 31 from complications related to AIDS, leaving a lasting impact on hip-hop culture.
