Eastern Grey Kangaroo (Macropus giganteus)

The Eastern Grey Kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) is a large, herbivorous marsupial native to eastern Australia. It is known for its powerful hind legs, which allow it to hop efficiently at high speeds, and a strong tail used for balance. Adults typically stand about 1.5 meters tall and weigh between 20 to 66 kilograms. They live in open woodlands and grasslands, feeding mainly on grasses and leaves. Social animals, they often form groups called mobs. They play a vital role in their ecosystem by helping to shape plant communities through grazing.
