Eastern and Western philosophies
Eastern philosophies, like Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, emphasize harmony with nature, balance, community, and inner spiritual development. They often focus on understanding oneself and living in accord with natural laws. Western philosophies, rooted in Greek thought, emphasize reason, individualism, logic, and scientific inquiry, exploring ideas about ethics, knowledge, and the nature of reality. While Eastern traditions tend to seek harmony and enlightenment, Western traditions often prioritize rational analysis and scientific progress, but both seek understanding of human life and the universe through different but complementary perspectives.
