East Front

The East Front refers to the eastern part of the Eastern Front during World War I, where the Central Powers (mainly Germany and Austria-Hungary) fought the Russian Empire. It was a vast, open battlefield stretching across Eastern Europe, characterized by large movements of armies, trench warfare, and significant battles like Tannenberg. Unlike the Western Front with trench stalemate, the Eastern Front saw more mobility and larger territorial shifts. It played a crucial role in the war’s dynamics, weakening Russia and affecting the overall outcome of World War I.
