
East Caribbean Dollar
The East Caribbean Dollar (XCD) is the official currency used by eight member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union, including Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, and Montserrat. It is pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate of 2.7 XCD to 1 USD, providing stability across the region. The currency facilitates regional trade and tourism, and is issued by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. The XCD features imagery representative of Caribbean culture and history, and is used primarily within these islands for everyday transactions.
