Easing

Easing is a technique used in animation and motion graphics to create smooth, natural transitions between movements. Instead of moving at a constant speed, objects accelerate or decelerate, mimicking real-world physics. For example, an object might start slowly, speed up, then slow down again as it reaches its destination. Easing enhances realism and visual appeal by avoiding abrupt or mechanical motion. It can be applied in various ways, such as easing in (gradually speeding up) or easing out (gradually slowing down), helping animations feel more fluid and less artificial.
