Earth orbit

Earth orbits the Sun in a nearly circular path due to the Sun's gravitational pull. This motion keeps Earth in a continuous, stable loop around the Sun, taking about 365.25 days to complete one orbit—our year. The orbit is tilted slightly relative to Earth's equator, causing seasonal changes. Earth's orbit influences weather, climate, and the length of days and nights. While the orbit is mostly consistent, it can slowly change over very long timescales due to gravitational influences from other planets. This orbital motion is fundamental to our experience of time, seasons, and the environment on Earth.
