Earth Observing-1 (EO-1)

Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) was a NASA satellite launched in 2000 to test new remote sensing technologies and improve Earth observation. It carried advanced instruments to capture high-resolution images and collect data about Earth's surface, atmosphere, and oceans. EO-1 helped scientists develop better ways to monitor environmental changes, natural disasters, and climate patterns. It served as a testbed for innovative sensors and methods that are now used in newer Earth observation satellites. EO-1 operated until 2017, contributing valuable insights into our planet's dynamics and enhancing remote sensing capabilities.
