Earth-Moon L1
The Earth-Moon L1 (Lagrange Point 1) is a special spot located between our planet and the Moon where the gravitational forces balance with the motion of an object placed there. This means an object at L1 stays relatively fixed between Earth and the Moon, making it ideal for space stations or satellites to observe both bodies efficiently. L1 is about 58,000 kilometers from the Moon towards Earth and helps scientists monitor spaceweather, communications, and other phenomena with less fuel needed to stay in position.
