Early television receivers

Early television receivers were devices designed to display moving images transmitted over radio waves. They used an electron beam inside a vacuum tube called a cathode ray tube (CRT) to create images on a screen. The receiver decoded broadcast signals containing visual and audio information, converting electrical signals into visible pictures and sounds. These early sets were large, often box-shaped, and relied on mechanical and electronic technology to convert signals into images. Over time, improvements in electronics and display technology led to more compact, clearer, and more reliable televisions we use today.
