Early Stone Age

The Early Stone Age, also known as the Old Stone Age, is the earliest period of human history, starting around 2.5 million years ago and lasting until about 200,000 years ago. During this time, early humans made simple stone tools for hunting, cutting, and gathering. They lived as nomads, relied on hunting animals and gathering plants for food, and developed basic social cooperation. This era marks the beginning of human technological and cultural development, laying the foundation for later advances in tool-making, communication, and social organization.
