Early Epipaleolithic
The Early Epipaleolithic is a transitional period in human prehistory that occurred around 20,000 to 10,000 years ago, after the Paleolithic era. During this time, humans began developing more advanced tools, such as microliths—small, finely crafted stone tools used as insertions in composite tools. These changes reflect shifts in hunting, gathering, and possibly early forms of semi-permanent settlements. The period marks an important step towards more complex societies and the eventual shift to the Neolithic, characterized by farming and domestication.
