
Earl Warren (American jurist)
Earl Warren (1891–1974) was an influential American jurist who served as the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1953 to 1969. He was known for leading landmark decisions that expanded civil rights and individual freedoms, such as ruling that segregation in schools was unconstitutional (Brown v. Board of Education). Prior to his judicial career, Warren was the Governor of California and a Vice Presidential candidate. His tenure helped modernize the Supreme Court’s approach to justice, emphasizing fairness and equality under the law.
