E0 Galaxy
An E0 galaxy is a type of elliptical galaxy characterized by its nearly round shape, with little to no flattening or disk structure. Unlike spiral galaxies, which have prominent arms, E0 galaxies appear as smooth, featureless spheres or ellipsoids. They contain older stars and have minimal gas and dust, resulting in little new star formation. E0 galaxies are part of the broader elliptical galaxy classification and are often found in galaxy clusters. Their round appearance suggests a history of galaxy collisions and mergers, leading to a relaxed, uniform stellar distribution.
