Dyophysitism
Dyophysitism is a theological belief that Jesus Christ has two distinct natures—divine and human—combined in one person. This means Jesus is fully God and fully human, but these two natures remain separate and coexist without merging. The concept helps explain how Jesus can be divine, performing miracles and forgiving sins, while also experiencing human feelings and suffering. This doctrine was clarified in the Council of Chalcedon in 451, emphasizing the importance of understanding Jesus as both fully divine and fully human simultaneously, maintaining the integrity of both natures without blending or diminishing either.
