Dynasty of the Kassites

The Kassite Dynasty was a ruling family that governed Babylonia, an ancient Mesopotamian civilization, from around 1595 to 1155 BCE. After the fall of the Hittite Empire, the Kassites took control, establishing a stable rule that lasted for about four centuries. They helped restore stability, promoted the arts and culture, and maintained important trade routes. Despite their long reign, they are often less remembered than other Mesopotamian dynasties, but their rule was crucial in preserving Babylonian civilization during a turbulent period.
