Dutch Parliament (Staten-Generaal)

The Dutch Parliament, called the Staten-Generaal, is the national legislative body of the Netherlands. It consists of two chambers: the Senate (Eerste Kamer) and the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer). The House of Representatives is elected by Dutch citizens and debates new laws, amendments, and government policies, while the Senate reviews and approves or rejects legislation passed by the House. Together, they scrutinize government actions, shape national laws, and represent the interests of citizens, functioning as a core part of Dutch democracy.
