Dunhill Records was a prominent American record label founded in 1964 by Lou Adler and Herb Alpert. It specialized in rock, pop, and jazz music, discovering and promoting several successful artists, including The Mamas & the Papas, The Turtles, and Steppenwolf. Known for its innovative marketing and production, Dunhill played a key role in the evolving music scene of the 1960s. The label was acquired by ABC Records in 1967, which helped it expand its influence before eventually being absorbed into larger music conglomerates.
