Dungeon Master (DM)
A Dungeon Master (DM) is the person who guides and facilitates a tabletop role-playing game, such as Dungeons & Dragons. They create and describe the story, setting, and scenarios, acting as the primary storyteller. The DM also controls non-player characters (NPCs), enforces rules, and manages game mechanics. Their role is to foster an engaging and collaborative experience, responding flexibly to players’ choices. Essentially, the DM invents the world and narratives, ensures fair play, and keeps the game flowing smoothly for all participants to enjoy.
