DUNE collaboration

The DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment) collaboration is an international scientific team working to study neutrinos—tiny, nearly massless particles that rarely interact with matter. Using a large, sophisticated detector deep underground in South Dakota, DUNE aims to understand fundamental questions about the universe, such as why matter exists and how neutrinos might reveal new physics beyond current theories. By sending a controlled beam of neutrinos from a far-away facility in Illinois to the underground detector, scientists can observe these elusive particles in detail, leading to breakthroughs in our understanding of the universe's fundamental building blocks.
