Dulcinea is a fictional character from Miguel de Cervantes' classic novel "Don Quixote," published in the early 17th century. She represents an idealized love in the mind of the protagonist, Don Quixote, who envisions her as a noble lady, despite never having met her. In reality, Dulcinea is based on a peasant woman named Aldonza Lorenzo.
