Duality Principle

The Duality Principle is a concept found in mathematics, engineering, and optimization that states many problems can be viewed from two perspectives: the “primal” and the “dual.” Solving either perspective often provides insights into the other. For example, in linear programming, the primal problem involves finding the best solution under certain constraints, while the dual problem interprets those constraints differently. Both are interconnected, and solutions to one can inform or simplify solving the other. This principle helps streamline complex problem-solving by offering alternative approaches that are mathematically linked.
