Du Bois Institute

The Du Bois Institute, now part of Harvard University’s Hutchins Center for African and African American Research, is dedicated to scholarly study and promotion of African and African American history, culture, and issues. Named after W.E.B. Du Bois, a prominent scholar and civil rights leader, it supports research, education, and public programs that explore the experiences and contributions of Black communities. The institute aims to deepen understanding and foster dialogue about race, identity, and social justice through academic inquiry and community engagement.
