Drywall
Drywall, also known as gypsum board or plasterboard, is a common building material used to create interior walls and ceilings. It consists of a paperboard exterior surrounding a core of gypsum, a mineral that is light and durable. Drywall panels are installed over framing, then fastened with screws or nails. Once in place, they are usually taped, mudded (joint compound), and painted to create smooth, finished surfaces. Drywall provides an affordable, quick, and versatile method for dividing or finishing indoor spaces, helping to achieve a clean and professional appearance in residential and commercial buildings.
