Dromiops

Dromiops is a rare genetic eye condition that causes issues with vision, typically featuring small or abnormal blood vessels in the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. It can lead to visual problems such as decreased sharpness or difficulty seeing fine details, often present from birth. While the exact cause is a mutation in specific genes, diagnosis is usually made through retinal imaging and genetic testing. Although there’s no cure, managing associated symptoms and regular eye check-ups can help preserve vision and address complications as they arise.
