Dreamers (DACA recipients)
Dreamers, also known as DACA recipients, are individuals brought to the United States illegally as children. DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is an administrative program that temporarily protects these individuals from deportation and allows them to work legally. While DACA doesn’t provide permanent legal status, it enables Dreamers to attend school, work, and contribute to their communities. The program reflects an acknowledgment of their limited choices and aims to provide temporary relief, though their long-term legal status remains uncertain without legislative action.
