Drawer Test
The Drawer Test is a clinical examination used to assess the stability of the knee's anterior and posterior ligaments. The patient lies down, and the doctor gently pulls or pushes the shinbone (tibia) forward or backward relative to the thighbone (femur). If the tibia slides excessively or feels loose, it indicates potential ligament injury, such as tears in the ACL or PCL. This test helps determine the integrity of these ligaments and guides further diagnosis and treatment decisions for knee stability.
