Draughts

Draughts, also known as checkers, is a strategic board game played on an 8x8 grid with two sets of uniform pieces. Players take turns moving their pieces diagonally forward to capture opponent's pieces by jumping over them. When a piece reaches the opponent's back row, it is crowned as a king, gaining the ability to move both forward and backward diagonally. The objective is to capture all of the opponent’s pieces or block their moves. The game combines tactics, planning, and foresight, making it a popular pastime worldwide for its depth and simplicity.
