Draught
Draught, also spelled draft, refers to the flow of air in a space, often unwanted, that can cause discomfort or affect temperature regulation. It commonly occurs around windows, doors, or ventilation openings where gaps or poorly sealed areas allow outside air to enter or indoor air to escape. In brewing, draught describes beer served from a keg rather than a bottle or can. In both contexts, understanding and controlling draught is important for comfort, energy efficiency, and maintaining intended environments. Proper sealing or draft-proofing helps reduce energy loss and enhances overall comfort and efficiency.
