Dr. Vikram Sarabhai was an eminent Indian scientist and visionary, widely recognized as the father of the Indian space program. Born in 1919, he played a crucial role in establishing the Indian National Committee for Space Research and later, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Sarabhai believed in using space technology for India's development, contributing to fields like communication, agriculture, and meteorology. His efforts helped launch India's first satellite,Aryabhata, in 1975. Beyond space science, he was also a passionate advocate for education and research, influencing various institutions in India. He passed away in 1971 but left a lasting legacy.
