Dr. Sun Yat-sen was a prominent Chinese revolutionary and statesman known as the founding father of modern China. He played a key role in ending centuries of imperial rule by leading efforts to establish a republic. Sun’s ideas emphasized nationalism, democracy, and the livelihood of the Chinese people, which he called the "Three Principles of the People."
