Dr. Mae Jemison

Dr. Mae Jemison is an accomplished engineer, physician, and astronaut who made history as the first African American woman to travel in space. In 1992, aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, she conducted scientific experiments and demonstrated the importance of diversity in science and engineering.
