
Dr. Joia Crear-Perry
Dr. Joia Crear-Perry is a nationally recognized obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive health expert dedicated to improving maternal health, especially for Black women. She founded the National Birth Equity Collaborative, working to eliminate racial disparities in healthcare. Dr. Crear-Perry advocates for equitable, culturally competent care and addresses social factors impacting health outcomes. Her efforts aim to ensure all women receive respectful, quality maternity care, reducing maternal mortality and morbidity, particularly among marginalized communities. She combines clinical expertise with activism to promote health justice and reproductive rights.
