Dr. James E. McCulloch

Dr. James E. McCulloch was a 19th-century American physician and politician from Maryland. He is best known for co-authoring the McCulloch v. Maryland case in 1819 as a lawyer, which became a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision. The case established that federal laws have supremacy over state laws and confirmed the constitutional authority of Congress to create a national bank.
