Dr. Edward Angle
Dr. Edward Angle was a pioneering orthodontist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries who is often called the "father of modern orthodontics." He developed the first classification system for bite problems (malocclusions), which helps dentists diagnose and plan treatment for crooked teeth and misaligned jaws. Angle also designed specialized orthodontic appliances, such as braces, that are still used today. His work laid the foundation for standardized orthodontic practices, improving how dentists correct dental and jaw alignment issues for better function and appearance.
