Dr. Bernard Sachs was a prominent American neurologist and neuropathologist known for his work on genetic and neurological disorders. He made significant contributions to understanding diseases like Tay-Sachs, a genetic disorder that causes progressive nerve damage, by studying brain tissue and identifying the disease's genetic basis. His research helped improve diagnosis and deepen scientific knowledge of inherited neurological conditions.
