DPI

DPI, or Dots Per Inch, measures the resolution of a display or printed image, indicating how many individual dots or pixels fit into one inch. A higher DPI means more dots per inch, resulting in sharper, clearer images with finer detail. For screens, such as monitors or smartphones, a higher DPI can make text and images look crisper. In printing, higher DPI produces better quality prints with smoother gradients and detail. Essentially, DPI helps quantify the detail and clarity of visual content, with higher values generally correlating with better resolution.
