Dowsing
Dowsing is a traditional method used to locate underground objects such as water, minerals, or pipes without modern equipment. Practitioners typically use tools like y-shaped or L-shaped rods, or pendulums, held loosely in their hands. When the dowsing tool passes over the target area, it is believed to react—by bending, tilting, or swinging—indicating the presence of the object. While dowsing has a long history and some anecdotal support, scientific studies have not confirmed its effectiveness, and it is often regarded as a form of intuitive or subconscious sensing rather than a proven scientific technique.
